The small hamlet Sant’Angelo in Pontano is located in a panoramic position, on a rise between the Ete Morto and Tenna rivers valleys. It is a quiet place, with 1,540 inhabitants, and the tradition of craftworks (straw) is still lively.
It keeps Longobard tracks, both in its name and in some finds unearthed among the remnants of a castle that was destroyed in the 15th century.
The walls of its castle witness the medieval period, in which the town flourished. Religious buildings are very interesting to visit. |
