Restoration of Italian houses, what is it all about?
Where do you start? Whom can you trust? Who are the best builders, surveyors, electricians and plumbers? What about all the regulations and local taxes?

The remake of your dream home can take a while and depending on the start-status of your project the process can be more or less complicated. In this brief article it’s impossible to describe all the necessary steps of a restoration procedure, but we are happy to give you some useful information.

Strong of years of experience in the restoration field, we believe that the most important aspect is a good communication between the client on one hand and the technicians and the building firm on the other. If not speaking the same language a translator always results helpful. Unfortunately in fact cultural differences and diverse ways of thinking, in combination with pure language problems, often lead to a loss of confidence between the parties. So make sure that you can share with your surveyor, architect or other reference person all your doubts and always indicate very clearly the total available restoration budget. Choose also a restoration firm with experience and make good agreements with them. Ask them to show you some of their previous works done so that you can assess yourself the quality of their work.

We are absolutely convinced that fluent communication, mutual respect and trust are essential to tackle and to overcome any possible difficulty. This way, step by step your fantastic old farm house will come back to life!
