Upward Trend for the Italian Property Market
New positive signals from the Italian real estate sector. According to the statistical bulletin of the Bank of Italy, the sale of homes continues to grow more than positive.
Data reported by the Bank of Italy are the result of a survey conducted by Tecnoborsa, and involving over 930 estate agencies and has been made between April, 6 and May, 3 2010.
Real estate agencies have confirmed an increase of the sales for the months of January, February and March, greater price stability and growth in the volume of new positions to sell. Operators provide a positive situation for the next month, estimating a renewed improvement in the outlook of the market.
If you look at the numbers, the data suggest an increasing number of homes sold + 12% over the previous period, confirming signs of stabilization that had already occurred during the year thanks to the surveys made by the Agency of Territory.
Another fact is more than positive that refers to the percentage of traders who have sold at least one property, as much as 71% of cases. This value is the most that has been detected since January 2009.
The only discordant note of surveys on the data of the sales in urban areas of Central and South Italy which experienced a decline in the number total. The reassuring data were found for house prices, in fact, during the first three months of years the proportion of agents reporting falling prices has decreased from 45.4% observed in late 2009 to 42.6% .
But there is something interesting from the real estate market.
The fact is that Italy still has great appeal to foreigners, even more than in other years, comparing to other European countries.
This is what emerges from the data recorded by Gate-Away.com, which recorded in the first three months of this year an increase in enquiries from foreign countries by 76% over the same period of 2009.
Sales Manager of the Gate-Away.com, Simone Rossi said: "Italy is considered by overseas investors as one of the most robust and secure real estate market of the Mediterranean where to invest their money, apart from being, as always, a strong attraction for its life style".
For the future, there is a confirmation of this trend, placing Italy at the top of the demands from overseas, certifying a great esteem for our market and our quality.
