Abruzzo, Wilderness and Beauty all to be Discovered

The strength of this splendid oasis, which is located on the East coast of the Italian peninsula, lies in the perfect synthesis of different landscapes and in its history, whose presence is visible everywhere  disguised as exquisite churches, castles or villas. So close your eyes and imagine your trip through the beauties of this strip of land!

Enter into your car and drive from North, you will first meet the 'sette sorelle' (seven sisters), which are sandy shores that run from Martinsicuro to Francavilla. The outlook changes if you carry on towards South, from Ortona to Vasto, since its lush green belt overlooks directly on the littoral. And you will be enthralled by trabocchi, giant spiders that emerge from the shallow and calm waters of the Abruzzi coastline. They are typical wooden structures used for fishing and whose origins are lost in history. Its various and varied golden beaches are very desirable destinations for many, especially sea lovers. Hence it is one of Abruzzo's priciest stretches because of its popular status.

Then venture West from the beach, and you will meet the country along your path. In a continuous interchange between rolling hills and flourishing meadows quiet ancient hamlets peep out. Roccascalegna (picure) is set on hill and is famous for its incredible castle which is anchored on a rock of limestone. But especially Sulmona, capital of confetti (whole almonds in a sugared shell), boasts many medieval structures of great beauty and a fine historical town centre. Artfully mounted Among its wealthy vineyards and olive grove typical farmhouses and rural buildings crope up. Away from the city noise this could be a true heaven of peace. So due to its strategical position, midway between the mountains and the sea, and its reasonable prices, buying a property in this zone could be a very good investment.

Finally heading to the hinterland you are able to step in the jagged Appennines's line in just half an hour. It is very fashionable during the Winter season for its ski resorts such as Campo Imperatore. But also during Summer, indeed the renowned Gran Sasso massif attracts a large number of bikers and ramblers. In this unsung areas close to the magnificent peaks you will be likely to find low price houses.

Sure enough at the moment costs in Abruzzo are still fair. Buying or renting a property here is quite convenient if compared with other regions such as Umbria and Tuscany. Prices here are forecast to hold well, especially in the many national parks and natural reserves, which are the most expensive areas. As a matter of fact in the last few years the territory has seen a huge growth of both buyers and tourists notwithstanding the major earthquake which shook L'Aquila and its surroundings. On the contrary it caught the interest of journalists who showed Abruzzo treasures images around the world. Thus many foreigners fell in love with this corner of Italy.

If you want to save your money then bet on the Abruzzo region. And while you are looking for your  Italian property why not enjoy a glass of Montepulciano, the famous red wine, pride of Abruzzo's land.
