Lunigiana

Description
Exclusively. In the center of Pontremoli, close to all services, we offer one of the last stone cottages still available. The house needs a total renovation. To date it is not habitable. It is surrounded by a strip of land to make a vegetable garden or use it to eat in the garden. There is the possibility to buy land near the house up to about 13000 square meters. The structure of the house is made of stone. Divided on two floors, it has three cellars on the ground floor, and two rooms used as a woodshed. Upstairs there is the beautiful gradile, the kitchen, a hall and the two bedrooms. The terracotta floor has the charm of the ancient, and can be made to shine again. This property has great potential, even in forecast, and with the possibility of being able to invest in the neighboring land, both for personal and business purposes. The property is in an area where no other construction will be possible. The view sweeps south and on the bed of the Magra river.
Pontremoli is 35 minutes from the sea and the 5 lands; and in less than an hour you can reach the cities of Pisa and Parma.
In just 5 minutes walk you reach the Castello del Piagnaro where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and see the museum of stele statues. The modern history of the stele statues of Lunigiana, the particular prehistoric monuments typical of the lands that straddle Liguria and Tuscany, begins on a precise date, December 29, 1827, and in a precise place, the locality Novà di Zignago, a hill in the upper Val di Vara: the first known stele statue was found here, then passed into history as the and quot;stele of Zignago and quot;. To date, there are 85 stele statues, most of which are preserved at the Museum mentioned above: the most recent find is the head of Mount Galletto, found in March 2021 by a person who was walking through the countryside around Pontremoli. Finding a stele statue, or even simply a fragment of it, is a rare event: to give an idea, just think that in the last ten years there have been only four findings. And always fortuitously: usually by hikers walking through the woods or, as in the case of the eighty-second, found near Licciana Nardi, by a farmer who was uprooting a vineyard.
