This beautiful, hilltop Villa is located in Pila, a small town just outside of  Perugia, one of Italy's oldest and most picturesque cities. The Villa is  surrounded by lush vegetation, trees dating back hundreds of years, and panoramic views of Umbrian hillsides. The Villa sits on 5 hectares of land, predominantly comprised of fields used for cultivation of sunflowers and  wheat. In addition to the main Villa, there is a small annex for agricultural storage, a detached, stone cottage for the groundskeeper, and the small church of Saint Ilario, dating back to the sixteenth century.
The main structure of the property, constructed around the year 1600, has undergone many renovations and additions in subsequent centuries. There are currently four floors, two of which provide access to terraces from which one can enjoy  panoramas of the Umbrian countryside, distant.

This structure dates back to the sixteenth century; it has a main entrance and can also be accessed from inside the Villa. On the top of the Church there is a bronze bell and a clock that has stopped at 13:30.
Below the vaulted ceiling, this quaint chapel has antique, wooden pews, a confessional, an altar, and paintings depicting the Madonna, Saint Ilario, and Saint Francesco dating back to the sixteenth century.

UNTIL RECENTLY, ON THE DAY OFSAINT ILARIO, MASS WAS HELD IN THIS LITTLE CHURCH. ON
EASTER, THE NEIGHBORS WOULD BRING SALT, EGGS, AND CAKE TO BE BLESSED IN THE CHURCH.

Attached to the Villa via a delicate stone arch is a small, elevated, stone structure which was at one time used for agricultural purposes. It is embellished by a stone staircase, visible from the Villa's courtyard.
Although currently not inhabitable, this annex has much potential as an additional living  space.
