The ancient Franciscan convent of Santa Maria del Gesù in Francavilla by the sea, was purchased by Francesco Paolo Michetti in 1883 and was not only the picturesque residence of the great Abruzzo painter but something more important and prestigious: the home of a real artistic cenacolo, a very rare phenomenon, if not unique, in the history of modern Italian art. In the eighties of the nineteenth century a painter, a sculptor, a musician and a poet, connected to each other by a "detached intimate union" lived during the summer periods in the beautiful convent that from the top of a hill dominates the Adriatic, to work and exchange ideas, techniques and secrets of the profession. On that hill, next to the convent, stands the enchanting Villa Perenicho.

Saved from the bombings that destroyed a large part of the Adriatic town just because the headquarters of the German Commando, Villa Perenich enclosed the ancient splendor of one of the most important periods in the literary and artistic history of Italy. His creata tower inspired D'Annunzio at the drafting of the Innocent. These were the times when the villa was owned by the Baroni De Lellis and Carmelo Errico lived with his wife Giulia Costantini. After the war the villa was purchased and elected as a building residence, by the Pereniche that have preserved its ancient splendor over time: large rooms, a living room overlaid by an ancient chandelier of crystal drops, frescoed walls and furniture painted by the great Pagliaroli are the evidence of the audiences that animated the house, making it a living room of intellectual exchanges among the artists of the Cenacolo.

Surrounded by a wall of about 400 meters, the villa is located in a park of ancient trees with a magnificent garden where budging up, here and there, tidy up flower spots: around 8,000 square meters of greenery. The tower of 4 meters in height faces a large terrace of 192 sqm.
A basement of 393 square meters and a basement of about 400 square meters, dominated by domes that air and illuminate, are frequently used in the cold season for ceremonies and events that are hosted in the garden in spring and summer.
