It is perfect for those who love to go skiing or hiking surronded by the green mountains. It takes about 40 minutes to reach the Adriatic sea and 1 hour and 15 minutes to Rome. The village is Civitaretenga di Navelli (considered one of the most beautiful and interesting hamlets in Italy). It is situated only 500m from the state road 17, so it is convenient to go by car and by bus. There is a fantastic panorama and the profitable business activities are related to agriculture. It is an area rich in precious wines, oil, truffle, saffron, high quality legumes. Agricultural activities are integrated by livestock farming (oxes and sheeps). Among the cultural and archaeological attractions it stands out the Sanctuary of Bominaco (XII century), the Roman site of Peltuinuum, the Camponeschi castle, the Stiffe caves, the Medieval hamlet of Santo Stefano di Sessanio, the fortress and castle of Calascio. In the surrounding hamlets you find many recreational, popular and gastronomical activities. Lots of food festivals.
