Fiumefreddo Bruzio is a charming village located in the southern part of the province of Cosenza, about 45 minutes from the international airport of Lamezia Terme, 15 minutes from the Paola train station and 10 minutes from the Amantea train station. Morphologically its territory starts from sea level and rises first sharply and then more gradually to the top of the mountains. Its historic center is a medieval village where in addition to its castle called "Castle of the valley" there are many religious architectures, furthermore in 1975 the Sicilian artist Salvatore Fiume fell in love with this small village and decided to paint some internal and external walls of the castle and to place bronze statues facing the sea in the two small squares of the village, one (the surf girl) in Largo Torretta where a crazy sea view dominates and one (the medallion of fortune) in the Rupe area.
