The building is located in the municipality of Trebisacce, a small tourist destination on the Ionian coast of Calabria in the province of Cosenza. It is easily accessible either by car, via the A2 Mediterranean motorway or the A14 Adriatica, or by high-speed train, getting off at Trebisacce or the nearby Sibari station, or by plane with a stopover in Lamezia Terme (or, alternatively, Bari). The area offers a wide variety of landscapes and naturalistic scenarios: on one side, the crystal-clear sea with long beaches, some sandy, some covered with pebbles, capable of satisfying both the needs of family groups with children, thanks to the equipment made available by numerous seaside resorts, and those of lovers of pristine nature and tranquility; On the other side are the verdant hills covered in orange groves (the type of orange known as ‘’Trebisacce blond’’, which bears fruit year-round, is famous and exported) and other typical crops which, together with meat from local farms, have allowed the development of numerous agritourism businesses where you can taste Calabrian specialties. Behind the hills, in all its grandeur, you can see the Pollino mountain range, reachable in 30 minutes by car, which shelters Trebisacce from north winds and makes the climate particularly mild year-round. For boat lovers, just 15 km away is the Sibari Lakes marina, where you can both rent various types of boats and stop by your own boat year-round. In addition to the sea, the view of which can also be enjoyed by walking along the recently renovated and modernized seafront, or on the ‘’bastion’’, one of the portions of the ancient walls, located high up in the oldest and most characteristic part of the town, the town offers the opportunity to enjoy long walks immersed in nature and protected from traffic and smog from the cities; for culture lovers it offers, in the immediate vicinity, the possibility of visiting the archaeological remains of the ancient cities of Metaponto on one side and Sibari on the other with its modern Archaeological Museum. The villa is located in the lower part of Trebisacce, just 300 meters from the sea, and has pedestrian access from Via delle Mimose, although it is equipped with 2 other driveways at the back, with 2 large garages, one on the ground floor and the other in the basement, capable of accommodating 2 cars each and both connected internally with the dwelling.
It is surrounded by a large, lush garden planted partly with fruit trees, such as orange, lemon, mandarin, apple, medlar, and piretti or limette (another citrus variety typical of Calabria), and partly with flowering or evergreen plants. The rest of the outdoor space is paved and forms a large solarium on one side and a covered portico on the other. Currently, the 4-story structure consists of a tavern on the ground floor, consisting of a double hall with 2 windows, a bathroom and a kitchenette, connected by an internal staircase to the first floor above ground, which is also accessed by a large and comfortable external staircase and an independent entrance door: Here you'll find a huge double-height lounge centered around a splendid central fireplace, crowned by numerous windows and balconies that make it incredibly bright. This level is completed by two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with a direct descent to the rear garden, a storage room equipped with a washhouse, and a hallway/wardrobe. From the spacious entrance on the first floor, a beautiful internal wooden staircase leads to the second level of the house, also embellished with a double living room leading to the eat-in kitchen and equipped with a pantry, from whose window you can enjoy a wonderful view of the sea. The villa was built in the ‘70s and has been inhabited ever since by the owners, who took care of every detail inside and out with great love until 2020, when they moved elsewhere for work. It is equipped with all the systems, some common and some already divided to make them functional to the various floors.
