in the second half of the 17th century. Doctors, intellectuals, nobles: in these very rooms that today
still hold the scents of terracotta and ancient wood, pages of Parma’s history were written. In the first
half of the 19th century, the residence passed to the Barons Del Campo, a family
dating back to Castello di Campo in the Pisane countryside, granted the baronial title by Emperor Leopold of Austria in 1668, and one of them, Giacomo (II), was mayor of Noceto in 1844.
In 1897, the villa was entirely renovated in the eclectic-liberty style that gives it its current appearance: Pompeian red stucco facade, neoclassical columns, fan-shaped staircase, balustraded balconies, dentilled cornices under the cornice.
Not a cold restoration: an act of love towards a house that wanted to be projected into the new century without betraying its soul.
