Picturesquely situated in the Nervia Valley, Isolabona is one of the most charming villages in the Ligurian hinterland, with a beautifully preserved historic centre. Its winding lanes, small squares and old stone houses have retained their authentic Ligurian character. At the same time, the village offers a good range of amenities for an inland location, with shops for everyday needs, cafés and restaurants all within easy walking distance.
This approximately 120 m² apartment is located right in the heart of the historic centre. Set over the third and fourth floors of a traditional village house, it offers two bedrooms, two living areas and a terrace with attractive views across the Nervia Valley.
The entrance to the apartment is on the third floor. A spacious and bright entrance hall leads to the rooms on this level. To the left is a generously sized bedroom, while to the right, the rustic-style kitchen opens onto the modernised living area. An open wood-burning fireplace creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, particularly during the cooler months. Vaulted ceilings, well-proportioned rooms and plenty of natural light enhance the apartment’s original character.
An internal staircase leads to the fourth floor. Here, a second living area features large panoramic windows overlooking the surrounding greenery. From this room, doors open onto the terrace with views of the River Nervia – a delightful spot for outdoor dining or simply relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. This floor also includes the second bedroom, with its sloping ceiling, as well as a shower room renovated in 2017.
The apartment is well maintained and ready to move into. The roof of the building was completely renewed in 2019. Hot water is currently provided by a boiler, while cooking is done using bottled gas. As the building itself is already connected to the public gas network, there is in principle the possibility of connecting the apartment as well and installing a heating system.
The property also includes an approximately 18 m² cellar located on the second floor. With its characteristic vaulted ceilings, it provides useful additional storage space.
Access to the apartment is via a communal staircase, which retains the simple, original character of the building and is in need of renovation. The apartment itself, however, is independent of the condition of the communal areas and is presented in good order.
As is common with many properties in Liguria’s historic village centres, the house cannot be reached directly by car, and the final few metres must be covered on foot. Public parking is, however, available just a few minutes’ walk away.
The picturesque village of Dolceacqua, renowned for its historic stone bridge and lively cultural scene, is only around 4 km away. During the summer months, the natural swimming pools and waterfalls around Rocchetta Nervina and Pigna provide wonderful opportunities for refreshing excursions. The beaches of the Ligurian Riviera are approximately 12 km away, while Nice International Airport can be reached in around one hour.
