The history of the “La Riana” Hotel goes back to 1967 when the house was built at an exceptional location on the village outskirts of Perinaldo by a local family.  Thanks to the south facing orientation it offers stunning views over the valley, the rolling hills of the Ligurian Maritime Alps and the Mediterranean Sea glittering on the horizon. Perinaldo with its charming medieval centre and surrounded by olive groves, is the perfect location for those in pursuit of peace and quiet with options for a more active lifestyle, such as hiking, mountain biking or playing a round of golf. The Riviera of flowers with its famous coastal resorts such as Bordighera and Sanremo, where the English middle classes and European aristocracy rubbed shoulders as early as the 1900-s, is only a 30 minute drive down the road.
The nearest coastal town Vallecrosia is 13 km away and the international airport Nice (France) connecting with all major European cities as well as North America and Dubai, can be reached within the hour. There are yachting harbours in all neighbouring coastal towns and the Côte d’Azur with Menton and Monaco is just a short drive away.
Perinaldo is a lively village with an intact infra structure where to find shops to cover the daily needs as well as a bar and three restaurants. In the early summer, Perinaldo plays host to an international music festival.
The solidly built hotel “La Riana” has been in the hands of the same owners since it opened; in 2001 it was completely overhauled and modernised by the current owner. Split over 4 floor levels plus extended attic, it measures some 550 qm in size with 10 guest rooms, a 50 qm attic flat, one restaurant and two dining rooms with adjacent service rooms.
A spacious garden terrace with BBQ invites for al fresco dining or sunbathing. Almost all rooms have balconies or terraces with sea view or view over the town. A private car park right next to the hotel offers space for 7 cars; further parking facilities are nearby.
The ground floor main entrance opens into a hall and connects with the lobby with reception and lounge area; a room divider separates the restaurant and the bar. Panoramic windows allow for beautiful views over the sea. From the lounge, there is access to a small terrace and to a large garden terrace. Also on this floor level are two guest toilets and a storage room.
A staircase leads from the ground floor hall to the upper floor levels. On the first floor are 5 guest rooms, three of which have sea view, four rooms have a balcony and one room has an 42 qm terrace. There are 5 further guest rooms located on the second floor; three of which have sea view and balcony. The attic flat has three rooms, one bathroom and a roof terrace.
The layout of the rooms and halls was decided at the start of the construction phase and it should not present a problem to alter the layout in order to accommodate apartments.
The lower ground floor is connected by a spiral staircase from the lounge or can be accessed externally from the garden terrace. Located on this floor level are a banquet hall with access to the garden terrace, the kitchen, a sanitary area and a number of service and storage rooms. South and west facing windows allow for plenty of light to flood the banquet hall. If one were to change the overall layout, this floor level could accommodate a wellness and fitness area.
Technical equipment:
The hotel is fitted with oil central heating which also provides the hot water. The windows in the restaurant area and the lobby are made of aluminium; all other windows are insulated, made of wood and fitted with electric blinds.
