A town of just over a thousand inhabitants in the Brianza area of Como, Alserio overlooks the lake of the same name and is part of the Valle del Lambro regional park. The Lombard metropolis of Milan is about an hour away by car, with its international airports of Milan Linate and Milan Malpensa, respectively  47 km and 56 km away.  Lugano, Switzerland and its national airport are reachable comfortably in less than an hour's drive.
