PORLEZZA
On the extreme eastern gulf of Lake Lugano, the town, surrounded by green mountains, is a destination for various excursions and walks. In addition to the main centre, the Municipality of Porlezza comprises the hamlets of Tavordo, Begna, Agria and Cima. The town, an important tourist and commercial centre, is accessible both through Switzerland, along the Ceresio, and remaining in Italian territory, travelling along the Regina state road to Argegno and then crossing the Val D’Intelvi, or to Menaggio from where the diversion for Porlezza starts.

The location is very popular, especially during the summer months, as in addition to being a seaside resort rich in tourist facilities, it offers the possibility of making various excursions on the surrounding mountains. The hamlet of Cima is of notable historical interest, which has maintained a typical medieval structure with remains of ancient walls and fortifications.
A few kilometres from the town, in the direction of Menaggio, you can visit Lake Piano and the Orrido di Corrido and in the direction of Val d’Intelvi, the Grottes of Rescia, rich in suggestive stalactites and stalagmites, and the Orrido di Osteno.
