Its location and the irregular stonework on the valley-facing façade suggest that the palace was created by merging several smaller structures, possibly incorporating an ancient tower or fortified wall within the 17th-century building - likely of Iberian origin, as indicated by the rich decorative repertoire found in its interiors.
