Within the commune of Calosso – one of the most attractive locations and located in the UNESCO World Heritage Zone - this is one of the best locations we have seen in a long time. From this elevated location you have easy access to Santo Stefano Belbo, Canelli and Nizza Monferrato where you find all the shops, café and excellent restaurants you need.
Here you have the post card location everyone dreams of: a good-sized plot of land with endless views towards the snowcapped mountains and with Mont Viso at the centre and the villages of Castagnole Lanze, Castagnito, Govone and San Martino Alfiero on different of hilltops across the horizon.

The current volume of the buildings will undoubtedly allow you to create the home of your dreams, and we have access to reliable and English-speaking architects, geometras and builders with whom we would feel comfortable providing introductions.  Some of these advisors and builders are locals with excellent relationships within the commune of Calosso. 
Solely as a guide we feel certain that you would be able to build a Lange stone house in two floors with a basement, a swimming pool and beautiful terraces with an outdoor kitchen and lounge areas from where you can soak up the amazing views in total privacy. Based on the sq.mt. available in the existing buildings it seems likely that you can create a charming, low maintenance, energy efficient family home or even a larger than normal property if that is what you require.
On previous occasions our clients have built such family homes where they, in collaboration with their geometras and/or architects have incorporated large parts of the original building such as wooden beams, floor tiles, bricks and terracotta roof tiles in their new home.
Often the end result is a stunning kitchen / living room with a separate cosy living room and then 3 – 5 ensuite bedrooms – some with their own private terraces. When planning and constructing these “new” farmhouses the clients nearly always invest in low maintenance, energy efficient properties with underfloor heating, triple glazing and a combination of heat pumps and wood burning stoves.
The current property is connected to communal water and the electricity. As with most farmhouses wastewater will be via a septic tank. Fast internet connection is already available in the area.
