Moncrivello Castle is one of the most important historic residences in Piedmont. Its origins date back to the 11th century, and for centuries the property was linked to the House of Savoy, which made it one of its most prestigious residences. In the 15th century, Duchess Jolanda of Valois, daughter of King Charles VII of France and wife of Duke Amadeus IX of Savoy, transformed the ancient medieval fortress into a refined stately home, choosing it as her favorite residence and helping to establish it as a major center of Savoy court life.


Over the centuries, the castle passed through the hands of important noble families, including the Marquises Del Carretto, until it entered a period of decline following a 19th-century fire. A major restoration project begun in the 1970s restored its original prestige, preserving its historical and architectural value.


Recognized as a National Monument in 1908, Moncrivello Castle still retains the authentic charm of medieval Piedmontese architecture, with towers, crenellated walls, courtyards, and historic rooms that tell the story of over a thousand years of history.


Further enhancing the property's charm is the famous legend of the "White Lady," traditionally identified with Duchess Yolande of Valois herself, who, according to local tradition, continues to watch over the castle. This tale, passed down through the centuries, gives this historic residence a unique aura, suspended between history, memory, and legend.


Completing the property are the castle's former stables, located on the same panoramic plateau and connected to the main building via the original cobblestones. They have undergone a complete renovation.
