Main Features

Description

Property description:
This heavenly complex of trulli is located approximately three kilometers from the “Monumental Area of Alberobello”, the smiling Apulian town which is known around the world as the “Capital of the Trulli” and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s  a splendid 18th century trullo which has been completely renovated using original, local materials and the ancient techniques of the master “trullari” (trullo builders) handed down from generation to generation. A small and characteristic "lamia" has been attached to the original trullo, inside which a very large and comfortable bathroom has been created..
This fantastic property sits on a high, panoramic spot in Alberobello, overlooking all the towns of the Itria Valley, the Selva di Fasano, and even (on particularly clear and dry days) the Adriatic Sea! It's a "place for the soul," where you can spend precious, relaxing, and unforgettable time, surrounded by centuries-old oak, olive, walnut, fig, and fruit trees, with a large, comfortable private pool. The charming property is centrally located (not on the perimeter and away from noisy roads) on approximately 22,000 square meters of land, bordering the Bosco Selva Nature Reserve, a hilly forest of over 50 hectares, complete with guided hiking trails, picnic areas, children's playgrounds, horseback riding opportunities, and mountain biking trails.
The natural setting and attention to detail make this property truly unique. During the renovation, all the ancient stones that made up the flooring were removed, sandblasted, and reassembled in their original positions, both inside the trullo and outside, in the historic courtyard. A wealth of hidden technologies was employed to maximize the authenticity and history of this type of building. Beneath the floors, an efficient crawl space ensures ventilation and underfloor heating throughout the home. The original fireplace, a central fireplace in the living area, has been preserved and restored. The restoration and conservation of the original materials was a key aspect of the project, achieved thanks to the professionalism of a firm of the area's top architects and interior designers. The interior doors, generous in width and height, are original and were expertly restored by local artisans. Meticulous attention to detail, both technical and aesthetic, was evident. Even the windows, replaced and technologically advanced (treated with UV-resistant and weatherproof materials), recall the local rural style. Heating is powered by liquid propane gas. Naturally, there are air conditioners for cooling and a heat pump. The wooden awning of the outdoor patio is equipped with photovoltaic panels, and a dedicated utility room houses storage batteries. There are two water tanks, one for rainwater collection and the other for internal water supply. The gardens and lawns are, of course, watered by a timed irrigation system. At the end of last summer season, a modern and highly efficient sliding cover system was installed for the pool (not shown in all the photos) which prevents the water from becoming dirty with leaves and insects and, above all, allows the water to maintain a very high, comfortable temperature. The trullo's internal temperatures can also be remotely monitored, as well as the premises monitored by a sophisticated video surveillance system, currently connected to a nearby private security company. There is also a charging station for electric cars in the large parking lot inside the property.
There are two comfortable bathrooms, one en suite and the other located in the guest bedroom. All windows and doors, as well as the main door, are equipped with mosquito nets.
Outside, there are storage areas and utility rooms for garden and pool maintenance. Outside, on the patio, under the shade canopy, there is a quaint outdoor kitchen area, equipped with every comfort. Of course, there is also an outdoor shower in the pool area.
Given the vast property, it's possible to initiate a project to expand the building space and, subject to authorization from the local landscape commission, construct new buildings in the area's characteristic style (trulli, lamia, stone houses).
We remain available to answer any questions or provide preliminary technical documentation. However, for those truly interested, we recommend coming in person to experience this unique, magical, and exclusive place to breathe in its atmosphere and capture its essence.

The Region:
If you are looking for a holiday itinerary which combines relaxation with an interest for history and culture, Apulia is the ideal place. The ancient territory of Apulia preserves the traces of the glorious populations of the past. This is a hospitable area. Some populations wished to conquer it: others arrived seeking refuge and acceptance; some came in peace; and others still stopped here, attracted by the mild climate. Mesopotamians, Greeks, Romans, Ostrogoths, Byzantines, Lombards, Saracens, Normans, Swabians, French, Spanish, and many other populations over the course of the centuries have made the Apulians a full incarnation of humanity. Anyone who stays among Apulians feels at home.
How is the food in Apulia? Ask anyone who has tried it and they will say that Apulia has the culture, art, and manners of eating well. The taste of the sea and that of the land are exalted in recipes that express their full exquisiteness only in the Apulian atmosphere. Bread baked in wood-burning ovens, artisanal pasta prepared with durum wheat flour, vegetables cultivated near the sea, grapes and cherries, extra virgin olive oil, almond cakes!!! Fava beans with chicory, orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe, orecchiette pasta with fresh tomato sauce and cacio ricotta cheese, cavatelli pasta with beans, fresh shellfish, linguine with clams, grilled fresh fish, eggplant parmigiana, roasted peppers, marinated zucchini, mozzarella and burrata, caciocavallo cheese…and wine, many wines of extraordinary quality.

Nearby Area:

Alberobello is very near the “Baroque Pearl” of Martina Franca, the splendid Locorotondo, the “White City” of Ostuni, Noci, and Ceglie Messapica, all renowned for their cuisine.
