Trullo Barrie, situated in the The Valle d’Itria was aquired by its present owners in 2007 and comprises 4 trulli cones and 3 lamia. It is set between ancient olive groves and dry-stone walls on a flat terrain with a delightful ravine. Restoration of the property was planned and a scheme arrangement was created by the present owners and a renowned local architect. Planning permission "Permesso di Costruire" was granted in 2009 but is now expired and would need to be renewed with the benefit of more relaxed rules.

The proposed arrangement of the main building has 2 bedrooms en-suite with dressing areas, lounge, dining, study, kitchen and utility with wc/shower. Outside, 2 loggia with outside kitchen, infinity pool, garage and parking. A separate little trullo gives en-suite accommodation for guests.

The plans show the original character of the interior is to be retained with stone domes and barrel vaulted ceilings, local stone and whitewashed walls, local stone floors.

Ceglie Messapica is the region’s gastronomic capital.  Martina Franca (13km) has white palaces and grand churches. Within easy distance are Ostuni (17km) with its maze of alleys, arches, sun-drench piazzas and vibrant Saturday market; Cisternino (13km), one of Italy’s ‘Most Beautiful Villages’, and the perfectly circular old town of Locorotondo (19km).
