Main Features

Description

This important Masseria has 5 independent rooms with outdoor space and all the comforts you need for your holiday: family rooms and suites with private bathroom, air conditioning, independent heating, satellite TV, safe, minibar, vanity kit, hairdryer, courtesy kit.
There is also a tennis court, private parking, electric car recharging station, free bicycle hire, sun terrace, reading room, laundry service, free wi-fi and a playground for children to enjoy in peace and safety.
Once surrounded by immense vineyards and olive groves, it still retains the rocky landscape typical of the Salento and its Mediterranean scrub.
In the 1800s, the masseria was purchased as a summer country residence and its interior was embellished with paintings and frescoes that have now been lost. It was equipped with an oven, where the women of Copertino went to bake bread, a granary - located in today's breakfast room - and a trappeto a giorno, an olive oil mill that can still be admired today under the glass shrine in the room that takes its name. There were many caves, storerooms and cellars.
During World War II, during the bombing that hit the small airport of Leverano, these rooms served as a refuge for the people of the small village.
Abandoned by its owners towards the end of the 1960s, the masseria remained unattended until 2007, the year in which six years of intense work began to restore splendour to the structure, which still retains its old-world charm: the original architecture with exposed stones, the ancient star and barrel ceilings, and the traditional furnishings.
This elegant Masseria has 5 rooms developed around the traditional courtyard, an open space typical of Salento masserias, ideal for spending a holiday immersed in close contact with the surrounding nature, amidst centuries-old olive trees, citrus groves and exotic plants. You can relax by the pool, take refuge in a cool, shady corner to browse through one of the books available in our library, or let yourself be pampered in our SPA.

The simplicity of the places, the welcome and authenticity are the strongest values we possess, an ideal combination for an unforgettable experience.
Our breakfasts offer the tastes and flavours of the Salento, from seasonal fruit to typical local sweets.
In a few minutes you can reach the towns of Copertino and Leverano, which are full of shops, ancient oil mills and mills, internationally renowned wineries, pasta factories, bakeries and traditional Apulian pastry shops that will satisfy your pleasure.
A few kilometres away are Gallipoli, the beautiful beaches of Porto Cesareo, with its Greco-Roman columns sunk in its seabed for thousands of years, and the coast of Porto Selvaggio, located in the Regional Natural Park and surrounded by a cool pine forest.
A few kilometres further north is Lecce, the capital of Apulian Baroque.
