In the center of Morciano di Leuca, in vico San Giovanni at the corner with via Giuseppe See, for sale a beautiful structure, once used as an oil and wine factory. The main structure is the historic one, characterized by beautiful aisles with very high star vaults. Inside there are still the vintage machinery, used for the processing of olives. The first central span is made up of four star vaults while at the bottom, on the left side there is a smaller span made up of three star vaults. In the bottom left corner, there is the room (always with a star vault) from which the manager of the company gave orders and operated the machinery.
Entering immediately to the left, there is a room (with a star vault) which was used as a deposit for the e-oil, in fact there are still large tubs in Lecce stone (also called piles). Above this room, climbing a staircase that also leads to the terrace, there is a star-shaped compartment which was the place of refreshment; here there is still an ancient fireplace.
The terrace is walkable and after the renovation it can be used for various purposes.
Over the centuries, the need to have other spaces where to store the finished product, has led to the construction of an extension on the right side of the original structure. Two rooms were built, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor. The construction of these rooms dates back to 1920/1930 and the roof is with iron beams and tuff bricks; the current state of these premises is very bad and therefore it will be necessary to demolish the roofs and rebuild the floor. On the side facing Via Verdi, there are small houses (which had a roof with wooden beams, caned, earth mixed with lime and tiles) that can be restored or demolished to expand the external area. it measures about 376 square meters. The covered area between the historic building and the subsequent expansion of the early 1900s is 700 square meters.
The structure lends itself to being transformed into a residence, a tourist accommodation facility or into commercial or professional premises.
