TORRE PALI is a small tourist resort located about a kilometer from the Maldives of Salento, in Pescoluse. The town overlooks the beach that bends slightly to the south, forming a small gulf on which it dominates a crumbling watchtower. Beyond the marina, less than 60 meters from the shore, there is the small Island of the Maiden. According to a legend, in 1753, the Turks landed at Torre Pali, raiding everything, and taking with them a young girl from the place who opposed with body and soul to his captors and, for this, was killed on that strip of land emerging from the sea.
PESCOLUSE is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Salento.
