In fact, it was born on the slopes of Monte Lauro (an ancient volcano now inactive on the Iblean plateau). The river flows into the Mediterranean Sea after a long journey and, in ancient times, represented the vehicle and the fastest trajectory to connect the internal territories with the coast. It has always been a place where trade took place. The itinerary consists of 4 paths: Sentiero del Carrubbo, Sentiero del Gelso, Sentiero del Retroduna and Sentiero Regia Trazzera, along which we will come into contact with uncontaminated nature, colors and scents that are difficult to forget.
