A few kilometres from Pitigliano, lies the Le Selvacce farmhouse. Overlooking an evocative panorama of Tuscan hills, in the rural tranquillity of the countryside, the property enjoys extensive views from which one can witness picturesque sunsets. Dating back to the 19th century and originally belonging to the nobility, Le Selvacce has been restored to its original splendour thanks to a restoration that began in 1995 and was completed fifteen years later. Access to the property is by a dirt road bordered by olive trees and a portion of woodland. Cars can be parked in a large space adjacent to the entrance gate, in the perennial shade of chestnut trees. Once through the gate, one proceeds along a pathway recreated with millenary stones from the city of Rome, from which one can enjoy the first evidence of Etruscan civilisation, poetic views and a vast portion of the estate's land: more than three hectares dotted with cypresses and centuries-old chestnut trees. After a few metres, you reach the entrance door. The farmhouse offers a finely furnished solution on 360 square metres divided into two communicating portions: 240 square metres for the main building and 120 square metres for its adjoining annexe. The ground floor of the main house consists of a study, a living room with fireplace, directly connected by a wide arch to the eat-in kitchen, and laundry room, equipped with both a washing machine and tumble dryer and with a door to the garden. On the upper floor, accessible by a suggestive travertine staircase, there is a bathroom with shower and bathtub, a walk-in wardrobe and three spacious bedrooms, two of which have lofts. The annexe, converted from a 19th-century chapel, is complete with a living room with a fireplace facing outwards through a window reconstructed from the original portal and a kitchen. The upper floor, reached by the wooden staircase by master Faenzi Liolo, consists of a bedroom, directly connected to the main building, and a master bathroom. The units, already communicating, offer the possibility of increased access from both sides. On the side façade facing west, where the sun fades behind the hills, there is a courtyard with a permanent cover embellished by the bucolic view of the countryside, a willow tree and a centuries-old oak.
