The property is located on top of the village of Sticciano Alto, in the municipality of Roccastrada,  and is currently used as B&B (called "Terre di Maremma", inside "Palazzo Piccolomini", majestic and elegant building.
Between the VIII and the XIV century, this building was probably part of the defensive system of the village, later destroyed by Siena around 1300.
In the second stage of its story (between the XIV and the XIX century), Palazzo Piccolomini was rebuilt and used as dwelling of the Sienese family of Piccolomini. The B&B is composed of 4 apartments, 3 of which available for guests, which have undergone a 2-year period of renovation concluded in 2010 in order to renovate the already present materials (wood, stone and cotto tile) to retain its original characteristics.
The propery includes, externally: parking space, garden and 4x8 swimming pool, laundry area with shower and 2 ample terraces with a breathtaking view over the countryside. Thanks to a cotto tile stairwell you can get to the main flat (140 m²) situated on the first floor: sitting room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen, 2 bathrooms, studio, broom closet.

Lastly, the yellow flat (55 m²) has an entrance, bathroom, living room with kitchen area, led TV, double sofa bed and a bedroom with room for 2-4 people.
