The winding road to the village takes you through lovely forests. The chestnut forests close to Crasciana are particularly beautiful. The views from this village are spectacular. There are gorgeous gardens with flowers and vegetables growing all over the village. A lovely little piazza in the centre of town makes a great place to gather with friends or relax. There is a shop and bar 2 km walk away and the foothills of the Apennines where an Agriturismo and restaurant can be found.  A great adventure would be to walk or cycle there for lunch. This location is close to Abetone for winter skiing and the ancient walled town of Lucca famed for its history and excellent shopping on Via Filungo. The famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is only an hour drive away.
