Just one arched door opens into a magical, private complex of a fully restored palazzo which is the realised dream of its owners.  
The complex consists of a residence and three luxury rental apartments which was meticulously restored by a renowned architect of the area.  The restoration took four years as there was a particular attention to detail and perfection.
Residence
When managing the rentals, the owners live in the large, top floor apartment which is found on the second floor.  The entrance is into a gorgeous living area with gourmet kitchen and two French doors out to the large balcony that extends along most of this apartment area.  The kitchen is partly open plan to the living area with stone arches.  This living area boasts an old, stone, fireplace.  
Behind the kitchen is a rather special room, currently used as a dining room.  This room, once used as the chapel has a cathedral ceiling which offers intimate accoustics.  When the skilled tradesmen were restoring this room, they uncovered part of the original alfrescos.
There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which is ensuite and opens out onto the balcony which offers mesmerizing views of the valley and the Apuan Alps.
Each of the bedrooms has stone walls called "Faccia Vista" and solid chestnut beams, interestingly, these bedrooms both have fitted wardrobes.  All the bathrooms have very high quality sanitaryware giving that 5-star finish.
There are spiral stairs leading up to the attic rooms, one of which is finished to make a third bedroom, den or office.
This entire apartment has both central heat and Central Air Conditioning.

Rental Apartment 1
This is the largest of the three rental apartments and is found on the first floor.  This has three bedrooms, the largest of which is an en-suite.  The other two bedrooms share the spacious, family bathroom.  The kitchen still has, as a feature, the original stone stove.  Wonderful, comfortable living room providing a relaxing place from which to watch the sunset over the mountains.
Rental Apartment 2
This is finished to the same high quality and comprises a kitchen/diner with access out to the terrace and garden.  There is a spacious bathroom, one bedroom with fitted wardrobe and a dressing room.
Rental Apartment 3
This boasts a Carrara marble clad bathroom, one bedroom with a fitted wardrobe, a kitchen and living room.
These two apartments can be connected to make one, larger rental apartment.
The panoramic garden is beautifully maintained and nicely landscaped to offer a BBQ zone, arched terraces, and automatic irrigation.
The pool is 8 x 4 with Roman steps making it 12 m long.
From the garden, there is access to the annex which consists of a laundry, a storage room, and a workshop.  Up the spiral stairs is the 2/3 - car garage which has roller door which is operated by a remote control.
The entire complex is served by 3-phase electrics, mains sewers and main water.  The central heating is gpl but much of the energy comes from the solar panels.  Each room has autonomous Air Conditioning.  All the central heating is zoned.
The Palazzo is not isolated but has full car access along public asphalt roads.  It is just 7 minutes drive from Bagni di Lucca where there is a train station.  The village offers a variety of walking paths including one that goes into the Pizzorne for sunday lunch.
This ideal for someone looking to get away from the heat of the plain but not wanting to be isolated or too high.
