This fantastic structure is set in a dominant position, with a 360° panoramic view over the unspoilt Tuscan hills of Valdera. It is composed of an old stone farmhouse with a private medieval church dating back to the 12th century and a large historic barn built in the late 18th century entirely of exposed brick.
The structure consists of 5 large flats, 3 in the main house and 2 in the large barn, with 3-4 rooms each. Each flat is perfectly furnished with Tuscan-style furniture, including a traditional fireplace.
Another small building is the 40-square-metre Dependance, recently reconstructed with the architectural features typical of traditional rural buildings.
All five farmhouse lodgings are fully furnished and have a large living room with a traditional fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, fridge with freezer and dishwasher.
The farmhouse has a beautiful reception area created in the original cellar through skilful restoration. The work was completed in spring 2018.
The swimming pool serving the various flats is located in a panoramic position, far from the flats so as not to disturb the peace of the place.
A covered parking area and a children's playground complete the farmhouse, together with a park around the main buildings of about 10,000 square metres.
Careful restoration work has enhanced the important historical-architectural features of the Podere, which, together with the great landscape and natural value of the place, certainly configures the entire building complex as a prestigious rural property with great charm.
The village of Palaia , a charming and ancient medieval village in the province of Pisa, is located 1 km from our farmhouse.
The farm is easy to reach thanks to its proximity to Pisa airport (35 minutes by car) and 10 minutes by car from Montopoli on the FI-PI-LI highway.
The farm has approximately 8 hectares of farmland, most of which is woodland. The main crop is olive grove with about 500 olive trees and its own production of an excellent extra virgin olive oil.
In 2021, the agritourism activity was increased and made closer to the new market of holidays in the countryside through the provision of bar services, breakfasts, dinners and the sale of 0 km products. For this reason, a bar/restaurant with a small wine bar and large open-air spaces have been created in the former cellars of the main building.
The medieval chapel has been wired for fast connections and used as a common work space.
Other rooms are part of the structure such as a large warehouse for storing agricultural equipment, the heating plant, the laundry and a large greenhouse that has recently been installed.
