Layout

The estate comprises over 30 hectares of specialised vineyards, part of which are registered as Vino Nobile di Montepulciano. Vineyards on marly soils with gravel, suitable for structured, elegant and long-lived wines, at 350–400 m above sea level, predominantly south-facing, trained partly using the spurred cordon method and partly using the Guyot method.
Production is diverse and of high calibre: in addition to Vino Nobile, Rosso di Montepulciano, Chianti DOCG and IGT Toscana, including a Super Tuscan (Sangiovese and Merlot), an IGT white and a Muffato intended for the meditation wine segment. Grapes: predominantly Sangiovese, with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and small plots of selected white varieties, with a focus also on the international market.
The estate boasts a modern, well-equipped winery with a high capacity for vinification and ageing in large barrels and tonneaux, and room for growth. The property is completed by an olive grove of approximately 4 hectares (over 1,000 trees, mostly over thirty years old, of the Frantoio and Leccino varieties) which produces an excellent quality Terre di Siena DOP extra virgin olive oil, thanks in part to same-day pressing.
Careful and sustainable agronomic management: there is an artificial reservoir for water storage, grassed fields to control erosion and maintain fertility, and discreet infrastructure with power lines almost entirely underground.
Vineyard Details
Total 48 ha: 33 ha of vineyards (of which 2 ha are currently unused), 4 ha of olive groves (1,038 trees, Frantoio/Leccino), 4 ha of fallow land, 1.3 ha of urban land; approximately 5 ha of uncultivated/unused land (roads, headlands, clearings). Current vineyard area: 31 ha. Replanting rights: none.
Varieties/designations: 16.56 ha DOCG Nobile, 4.31 ha DOC Rosso, 3.92 ha DOCG Chianti Colli Senesi, 5.69 ha IGT Toscana. Grapes: 22 ha Sangiovese, 5 ha Merlot, 2 ha Cabernet Sauvignon, 0.5 ha Petit Verdot; whites: 0.5 ha Sauvignon Blanc, 0.25 ha Malvasia Toscana, Riesling, Traminer, Petit Manseng.
Planting density: old vines (3 ha) 3×1.50; remaining 2.40×0.80. Plantings: 1994, 2007, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2018, 2019.
Production: 100,000 bottles/year (of which 60–70,000 DOCG Nobile); IGT Red 3,000, IGT White 3,000.
Capacity: 300,000 kg of grapes, 2,000 hl stainless steel tanks; ageing in barrels and tonneaux, ageing capacity can be doubled. Wood: 800 hl in barrels + 1,000 hl in 5 hl tonneaux. Equipment: labelling machine.
