Central heating can be provided either by gas or pellet stove and there is an additional wood-burning stove in the living room.

Sarteano, situated between Montepulciano and Cetona, is still a very genuine medieval town with some notable buildings and a tiny, perfectly restored Renassiance theatre, providing ample services, great restaurants and lovely people. Situated just 6 km. from the Chiusi/Chianciano exit of the A1 and 12 km. from the mainline railway station in Chiusi it is the ideal base for exploring all the splendid medieval towns of the Val d'Orcia.
