Historic Orvieto:
Orvieto is thought to be one of the oldest towns in Italy. Handily for the visitor it is the perfect size for exploring on foot and was Italy’s first ‘Slow’ city in that it banned most traffic from its center and its winding medieval streets. There are many things to see and do, not least the Duomo – considered by many the most beautiful cathedral in Italy; Orvieto Underground, with its many tunnels and caverns that exist underneath the city dug by the ancient Etruscans and the famous Saint Patrick’s well.  Food lovers will be spoilt by the many restaurants, trattorias, pizzerias and gelaterias.
