Additional Information about Porano: The location of this property could not be any more idyllic, lying on the outskirts of the ancient Borgo of Porano with its pretty Castello Rubello which dates back to the 13th century. Sitting deep in the south west corner of Umbria, Porano is a characteristic fortified hamlet with beautiful encircling medieval walls, a castle and a charming historic centre. The once hamlet has now grown to become an unspoilt small town without losing any of its original charm. Uniquely whilst many hill top hamlets in Italy have declined in recent times, Porano has continued to grow and thrive and currently has a population of around 2,000 residents.
