Description
Our property is a farmhouse situated in a nature reserve, a few steps from the hilly town of Macerata.
It is an eco-friendly house, because it is supplied by a photovoltaic system for the electricity, a solar system for the warm water and a well that gathers the rainwater.
A large garden of half a hectare surrounds the house.
In the garden there are various local plants and fruit trees (tilias, olive trees, apricot trees, apple trees, pear trees, elms, oaks, plum trees).
We are flower lovers, so the house is surrounded by roses, four o'clock flowers, cyclamens, jasmines, etc.
Two years ago we have created a small lake only for water lilies, that is always lush and surprising.
The house was built with the attention that was usual at that time: Southern exposure, thick walls that make the house fresh on Summer and warm in Winter. A part of the house has iron beams ( former stable) and a part has wooden beams.
The house spreads out on 3 floors. The ground and the first floor are habitable. The garrett is currently used as storage, but can be transformed to live in.
The interiors boast large and comfortable rooms.
In the cadastre, the house includes an historic cave that in the beginning of 1900 was used to keep food and drinks fresh.
The swimming pool enriches incredibly the peaceful place and nearby we have built a wooden gazebo, where you can outdoor dining.
In the surrounding fields there is a farmer, really kind and helpful, that grows wheat and sunflowers, switching them with coriander, corn and forage.
Water from the faucets is drinkable.
