Historic building in Arpino set in the enchanting historic centre of the city of Cicerone, in the Colle district in Via Saturno the house dates from the end of the 19th century and was completely and tastefully renovated in 2003. Arranged on three living levels with an attic and a small terrace, it is equipped with cellars in the basements for a total area of 350 m². 

The property has a large tavern area on the ground floor with bathroom and rustic built-in kitchen, exposed ceiling beams and terracotta and brick coverings typical of local taverns. The first floor has a living area connected to the bedroom floor above, a kitchen with a fireplace and  space for a dining table, a balcony, a second reception or living room, hallway and bathroom.

On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom and a small balcony with a panoramic view, the corridor and a stairway with access to the attic. The attic located on the third floor consists of a living area of 35 m² with a small terrace of 10 m² with the possibility of being enlarged, and a further double bedroom.

In the basement there are large cellars with an ancient well of spring water. The systems are self-contained methane gas, but there is also a thermo fireplace. Wooden window frames that preserve the typical beauty of historic buildings and exteriors with wrought iron grates. Adjacent to the building is a free parking area.

Arpino is one of the major medieval hilltop towns in the area of Italy called the Ciociaria, the name given to the fertile land that lies south of Rome but north of Naples, situated inland in the hills in the heart of Italy.  The Ciociaria region is within easy reach of both Rome and Naples and their respective airports. A day's shopping in Rome is a common pastime, while an even shorter drive brings you to the charming beaches south of Rome. Alternatively, drive east, and the mountains of the Abruzzo National Park await with horse trekking in the magnificent beech forests, and sparkling mountain lakes and rivers where you can swim in the heat of the summer. And at the other extreme of temperature, although Arpino itself is temperate, less than an hour's drive brings you to the winter ski slopes.  

Often overlooked, both by tourists and by those foreigners in search of an Italian home, in favour of the more publicised regions of Tuscany and Umbria, the Ciociaria remains largely an unspoilt gem with beautiful scenery and medieval hilltop towns.
