Torrebruna called "city of truffles" is a small town in Abruzzo, province of Cheti, of medieval origin, located on the slopes of the Apennines at 857 meters above sea level. The massive reforestation work has brought back the vegetative mantle on these accentuated slopes, contributing to the wholesomeness of the climate, cool in summer and not very harsh in winter, and to the livability of the area. Of particular value is the parish church of the Transfiguration, an example of Baroque art in which an ancient wooden organ stands out.
Every year in August the truffle festival takes place which has taken on a role of attraction for the town.
Torrebruna is about 30 km from the Adriatic coast, about 100 km from Pescara airport and about 200 km from Rome and Naples.
