LOCATION
Priverno is one of the most popular and beautiful villages in the Province of Latina and stands on a hill in the Lepini Mountains halfway between Latina and Frosinone.
It has a very ancient history. It was an important centre of the Volscians. When the Romans built the Appian Way, which connected Rome to Naples and Magna Graecia, the town took on even greater importance, being on one of the most important trade routes of the Empire.

Priverno is a perched village, with Mount Semprevisa behind it (more than 1,500 metres) and the valley of the Amaseno river below. It is famous for its climate without excesses: moderately ventilated by the sea breeze rising along the Amaseno river in all seasons, never too hot in summer and never too cold in winter. Although the village is set in the hills, it is surrounded by some of the highest peaks of the Lepini and Ausoni mountains that enclose and protect it like a valley.
The historic centre is a riot of steep stairs and sloping alleys.
