Located in Ventimiglia's oldest district (Ventimiglia Alta) and surrounded by traffic-free alleys, this three-level village house offers a mix of medieval architecture and modern design. A local builder carried out a complete renovation and rebuild of the entire property in 2015. The current Swedish owners bought the home that year and have had it as a holiday home ever since.

Outside the main entrance there is a tiled patio of about 12 square meters where you can cool off on a hot summer day. The door leads into the middle floor, which consists of a combined kitchen and living room, as well as a bathroom and a small balcony with a view of the Via Appio alley and the medieval church of San Michele. A spiral staircase leads up to the loft, which is used as a guest room and has a sofa bed that easily converts into a double bed. From the loft you come out onto the approx. 15 square meter roof terrace with an exceptionally beautiful panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, Ventimiglia's rooftops, the Roya Valley and the Sea Alps. The sun shines on the terrace almost all day during the summer months. There are electrical outlets for eg a grill and a sink.

Another spiral staircase leads down to the ground level with the spacious master bedroom. This room retains its original character with several medieval features such as the vaulted ceiling. Adjacent to this room is a separate laundry area with sink and window. From the bedroom, via an outer door, you reach the ancient staircase that goes down to Via Appio. A storage room is located under the bedroom, which also protects the home from possible moisture from below.

The house is equipped with four indoor units for the external air heat pump, which can also be used for air conditioning during the summer. An electric water heater in the bathroom supplies hot water to the entire system. Washing machine available.

It is approx. 100 meters to the nearest public car park and approx. 200 meters to a large newly constructed car park (both free of charge). In Ventimiglia Alta there are many shops and establishments such as a pharmacy, post office, hairdresser, grocery stores and bakery (it takes two minutes' walk to get freshly baked bread for breakfast). Within a couple of minutes walking distance there are five excellent restaurants and several smaller eateries and/or bars. If you take the new free elevator down to the beach level, you reach even more high-quality restaurants.

It takes seven to eight minutes to get down to the nearest swimming beach. The beaches stretch all the way to Bordighera and are demarcated from the settlement by a beautiful promenade and a nice cycle path which is part of an extensive cycle path system along the Italian Riviera.. There is also a natural sandy beach, Calandre, which can be reached in just over ten minutes after a stunningly beautiful walk.
A special attraction is the tourist port of Ventimiglia, inaugurated in 2021 and operated within the framework of Monaco's port operations. It is located next to the nearest swimming beach. It offers a more colorful environment with elegant restaurants and shops.

The center of Ventimiglia can be reached in ten minutes and the railway station in fifteen minutes. With its strategic location, Ventimiglia is an old and well-known railway junction with very good connections to the west to Monaco, Nice (among other things by commuter train to the airport) and further in France, to the north to Piedmont with Cuneo and the Limone ski area (two hours by local train) and to the east direction towards Sanremo and further towards Genoa.
