You won't find dramatic numbers of tourists here, and you'd never guess that Sicily's biggest city was just fifteen kilometres away to the west.

You can get into Palermo by car, or take the train from nearby Santa Flavia, whose station is just a fifteen minute walk from Appartamento Assunta. Within a similar range are the beach and nature reserve of Sant'Elia, the important archaeological site of Solunto, the exciting rocky coastline of Mongerbino and the Baroque villas of Bagheria. Truly something for everyone.
