7 bedrooms villa, 569 m²

Camaiore, Lucca (province)

Versilia

At the foot of the Apuan Alps, in the secluded setting of Pieve di Camaiore, this historic Tuscan residence offers 569 sqm across three floors, surrounded by 2000 sqm of private grounds. Its original core dates from the 16th century, while successive alterations between the 18th and 20th centuries shaped its present character. An exceptional collection of frescoes defines the reception rooms, from early 20th-century floral and exotic decorations to 19th-century cycles in the Lucca tradition and 18th-century Roman landscapes. A grand reception salon with a baby grand piano, billiard room and smoking room retain a truly aristocratic atmosphere.

The property comprises 7 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, together with a dining room, kitchen with historic fireplace, breakfast room, wine cellar, study, second kitchen and frescoed library. Central heating, double glazing and timber floors provide contemporary comfort. Set over two gentle terraces and linked by a stone staircase, the botanical garden features rare plants, Italian-style geometry, a pine grove, bronze fountain, domed gazebo and secret passage. The independent limonaia includes a study, living area, bedroom and bathroom, offering ideal guest accommodation; 5 private parking spaces complete the estate.
